Switching Gears To Smallmouth

The Grand River is currently blown out and running at 21,000 cfs.  It will a few weeks for it to come back down to more fishable levels.  With that said, we have switched gears to smallmouth on the Grand’s tributaries where the water is in much better shape.

If you’re new to fly fishing or want to learn about it, Orvis-Grand Rapids will be having a Fly Fishing 101 class on April 29th.  For more information on this event and others, click the button below for their calendar of events.

With the warmer week ahead, water temps will warm up, which should be good for the pre-spawn bite.  This is our favorite time of year to fish for smallmouth.  We tend to more consistently bring larger fish to net. Give us a call or contact us to get on our calendar for before the pre-spawn ends.
