Lakes We Ice Fish
At almost 5,000 acres, Hamlin Lake is located in the port town of Ludington, Michigan. It has some of the best crappie and blue gill fishing in the area. Many anglers fish it for walleye and northern pike.
Muskegon Lake, located in Muskegon, Michigan is 4,150 acres and is considered a drowned out river mouth. This makes for excellent northern pike and walleye fishing. The lake also holds perch, blue gills and crappie populations.
At just under 2,600 acres White Lake in Monegue, Michigan is also considered a drowned out river mouth. The lake is also known for its northern pike and walleye fishing with plenty of panfish to catch to keep young anglers busy.
Grand River Bayous:
Many of the Grand River’s bayous are excellent places to catch the panfish species of bull gills, crappie, perch and sunfish. They are also a great place to ice fish with tip-ups for northern pike.
