Fly Fishing for Salmon
Salmon is the ultimate catch for many anglers on Michigan rivers due to the thrill of this species’ short fishing season. Though chinook, coho, pink, and Atlantic can all be found throughout the state of Michigan, chinook and coho are the species most commonly found in the Grand River.
Egg flies are popular with anglers in search of a salmon catch. At Werkman, we guide anglers seeking this popular species in the fall, when salmon travel into the rivers as they start their annual migration to their spawning grounds.
