Grand River Fishing Reports

Steelhead Are Showing Up & Trout Are Gorging
The recent rains have risen river levels and combining that with colder temps, equals more steelhead showing up in all the systems in West Michigan.
The patterns right now are egg flies, as both the steelhead and trout are snatching them up. If you're going to hit the river and your find salmon on redds, fish the pocket water behind them, the steelhead and trout will be hanging out there. Use a variety of egg colors, including nuke eggs. Right now we're using 8# to 10# leaders, depending water clarity with lengths between 18" to 24."
The shop is loaded with rods, reels, lines, leaders, tippet, waders and layering systems. If you need help or have questions about the fall run, fishing for trout or steelhead, give the shop a call or swing on in, we're happy to help.
